Water Babies

Yesterday was actually our second or third day in a row with no rain, so we had to drag out the sprinkler and give the plants a drink. And when you have a sprinkler, and you have kids, you might as well water the kids while you're at it.

I think Catherine got exactly four drops on her.

But she really enjoyed the chance to touch the water, shriek, and run away, dozens of times.


Mary liked the water, but since she can't run as fast as Catherine, she got rather wet.



Eventually she got tired of sprinkles in the face and high-tailed it out of there.



This morning was bright and clear and warm, and with rain in the forecast for later in the day (it has been raining since dinner) we took advantage of some early wake-ups and headed to the beach. The beach is really nice in the morning because there are usually only a few people, calm(er) winds, and no bugs. It happened to be low tide this morning so we had to walk about a mile to get to the water. As if that bothered the girls at all.
