A Singing Show

Remember a while back when Catherine and Mary took a ballet class that concluded with a little performance for the parents at the end of the week? They only lasted a few seconds into the first song when they both (Catherine first, then Mary shortly after) became overwhelmed and ducked out of the show (full post here).

Well, that was about a year and a half ago, and they've definitely grown quite a bit in that time. This week they had a little party for Epiphany in their weekly church class. This class is basically a Montessori-minded catechesis class for preschoolers, with a lot of hands-on "work", and the girls love it. For this party, the kids learned two songs that they sang for the parents, then they served everyone a little snack they had prepared  on *real* plates.

Catherine had the same "I'd rather be anywhere than here" look on her face the whole time they were singing, but she stuck with it, singing all the words, holding up her prop when it was time, and clapping during the second song.

Mary not only participated, but looked like she was almost enjoying herself. Progress!
