Olivia recently celebrated her birthday at a bounce house place, and the kids could not have been more grateful for their invitations. Bounce houses are their jam, especially when giant slides, giant bouncy balls, bouncy obstacle courses, and spider webby climbing are involved.
This is why all the girls' skirts have shorts under them; all the fun, no worry about skirts flying up.
Flying leaps!
After a full hour of bouncing, we moved to the party room for fun and cake. Olivia was pleased to be the guest of honor.
Don't worry, Gussie is just doing exactly as he was told: making moose ears because his beverage of choice was root beer.
Happy Birthday Olivia! We hope you had as much fun as we did.
Did you notice a conspicuous lack of pictures of Edie bouncing? The day before the party, she climbed up onto the outside table, fell off the outside table, and hit the back of her head pretty hard. In addition to a large bump, she threw up a couple times. However she had no other symptoms, so our doctor concluded she likely had a concussion but nothing that warranted being seen for a scan. And all you do for a concussion is try not to incur another injury while the brain is healing. She slept fine and was looking and acting completely normal by the next morning, but I've seen the way Edie takes on bounce houses; I sent her to the coffee shop with Daddy while I took the rest of the kids to the party, hoping to give her little brain at least a small amount of time before she figured out a new way to injure it.
