It didn't take Catherine any time at all to settle back into her normal routine at home - she seems blessed with the ability to be content with whatever is going on. We definitely may have tired her out a bit - she has slept until 7 or 7:30 every morning since we returned from vacation, except of course this morning. It actually doesn't matter much to me when Catherine wakes up because Mary usually wakes me with a good kick to the ribs by 6 or 6:30 anyway (only 1 month until she's due to make her appearance!).

Thursday and Friday I had a lot of catching up to do with work, but I think being able to go to play group and lunch date with Daddy on Thursday helped Catherine accept the working schedule again after the vacation schedule. Today we still had to catch up on some laundry, cleaning and shopping after being away, but we also had time to start arranging a few things in preparation for Mary and we even made it out for a walk on the beach this afternoon.

A good standby in Catherine's entertainment menu: the musical telephone:

Catherine was my motivation for organizing the 0-3 month clothes for Mary - I didn't have much choice once they were spread all over the house. Also, you should note how awesome her hair is getting.

Catherine's favorite outdoor activity is picking up handfuls of dirt and relocating them to other flower beds, plants and pretty much anywhere else. Her play house, car, and wagon are all full of dirt, and there are usually several piles of dirt on the sidewalk and front stairs.

Catherine enjoys throwing handfuls of sand around at the beach just as much as she likes throwing handfuls of dirt around at home.

It is so precious to see Catherine clap to the music. I wish I had such a good helper at my house to assist in moving things around. We are all so excited for Mary to grace us with her presence. If she is anything like Catherine she has my vote for best baby in the world.

That is just the sweetest thing when she is swaying to the music, clapping her hands, and bobbing her head.
