October 2020: More Volleyball

Mary's volleyball season wrapped up in October, but here are a few more pictures. She definitely improved over the season and I think she had fun!

Agnes accompanies me to most of the volleyball games while the rest of the kids stay home (limited spectators allowed). She's usually trying to steal a ball, run onto the court, or just rolling around on the floor.

Catherine's club team coach signed them up for the same rec league so they could get some more game practice in before the tournament season started. Catherine is still playing middle hitter so her main jobs are hitting and blocking, but she's also turning into a good all-around player with a lot of improvement in her passing and setting.

Agnes has spent so much time watching volleyball now that she is very interested in it, and has picked up a surprising amount about the game. She knows how to hold her hands for a bump, and if you are going to toss the ball to her she gets into her "down and ready" squat with her hands ready to bump. She apparently even noticed them calling the ball ("mine mine mine"), but instead of saying "mine" she says "Agnes!" when she bumps it. We're sticking to balloon volleyball for practice.
