Bed Head. Vroom.

Catherine and Mary are in a class at church once a week, and their first day was today. It's very small - about 10 kids ages 3 to 5 - and the teachers are lovely. Mary jumped right in to the opening Hokie Pokie with a big smile on her face, and although Catherine hung on to my leg through the two opening loosen-up-the-kids songs, when it was time, she hopped in line and walked over to the "no parents allowed" part of the classroom with no problem. After a minute of peeking over the half-wall at them, I was able to wave and slip out the door with no fuss at all from either of them. I love that they are in the class together - much easier for all involved.

Michael Jr fell asleep on the way there so I moved him to the stroller and we took a few turns about the neighborhood (the girls' class was only an hour since it was the first day). After a while Michael woke up and I really liked his tussled post-nap bed head.

We walked for a bit and kicked some leaves, then sat down on the stoop and watched cars while playing with cars. It happened to be about the time of school letting out, so we were fortunate to see several buses.

This is Michael making his "vroom vroom" sound that he makes every times he see anything with wheels.

Ok, it's cuter in person.

Then the girls finished with class and wanted to know why they couldn't get cupcakes from the bakery next door.

Then we came home and they played dress-up, changing dress-up outfits 28 times each, because we brought the dress-up clothes box out of storage. Mary was like a fish being thrown back in the water.

And now, a side note: I've been working on another blog for a bit and the address is starting to get around (I'll get it in the links on the right). You can read it if you want, but you won't have to in order to keep up with the family. It is completely separate from Our Family Dominates, which I plan to continue and keep as a detailed family blog for your eyes only. Unless all of you stop reading, then it will be for my eyes only, but I'll still keep doing it.
