It was pretty cool and threatening rain and mud when we arrived, but the kids didn't care at all. They spotted the castle / haybale playground complete with climbing wall and giant slide as we drove in, and that's all they needed, really.
After one try, Catherine was a pro at using the rope to run up this wall.
Why, hello, friends Carrie and Daisy... I spy you through the castle window!
Michael Jr climbed up to the top of this slide all by himself.
Then he sat there - for twenty minutes - deciding whether or not to slide down.Hmmm... to slide or not to slide...
Eventually he did slide down, and was pleased with his decision, but he didn't try it again.
There was also a slightly warmer and more sheltered area with a few play houses and kitchen sets. Mary would have been pleased to stay there with the princess plates all day. They also had a fleet of John Deere tricycles and plenty of room to ride around, but I somehow failed to get any pictures of that.
Then we all hopped into a hay filled trailer and took a little hay ride to the middle of the pumpkin field to pick pumpkins!
Does he look like he's tired of my camera yet? Nah...
Scoping out the perfect pumpinks...
As soon as we put Michael down in the field he started picking up any pumpkin he could get his little hands around.
Mary found the perfect pumpkin! She was pleased.
Four little pumpkins, sitting in the hay...
We rode back to the farm stand to pay for our pumpkins and picked up a bag of apples for a snack. The apples were super yummy.
And Carrie was kind enough to grab my camera and get a few pictures with me and the kids.
Thanks, Carrie, for the pictures and the fun morning!
Carrie has more great pics on her blog here.

Great photos... Love that Michael sat and waited and finally went down the slide... Caleb was terrified even with me holding him. Chris.
