Pretty much every time we show up at Twin Oaks, Grandma and Grandpa have added some amazing new feature to the property. I can't remember exactly when the floating trampoline showed up, but without it and the lily pad swimming in the pond would be a lot less fun. The trampoline actually isn't that great for jumping because it sinks into the water just enough that there isn't a lot of rebound left on the trampoline surface; you can't really jump that high. But it is an amazing tall platform for diving, flipping, wrestling, and general shenanigans.
Hmmm... I can't remember if this was a dive attempt or a front flip attempt by Gussie. Either way you can imagine how it ended.
This is definitely a dive - Michael has gotten pretty good at them (other than the fact that he still holds his nose!).
Agnes is super comfortable in the water in her life jacket. If the other kids are in the water she will get in and paddle to the lily pad without me.
Catherine is an on-again off-again back flipper. Sometimes it works great, and sometimes she just has too much leg length to get all the way around.
Gussie just likes flopping around in the water.
Edie is just on the verge of independent swimming and likes to take off her life jacket while I'm watching and paddle around the shallow part of the pond where she can put her feet down when she gets tired.
It appears that Gussie just got pushed off the trampoline.
Your guess is as good as mine on whether this was a successful attempt or not.
There is also a lovely new firepit up by the house with a patio around it. We are big fans.
The kids had some super bright glowstick balls so I explained to them the possibilities with ultra slow shutter speed on my camera and lights moving in the dark. It took a few attempts, but eventually we got some legible writing.
There was a little trouble with the spatial reasoning and which way the "e" should be drawn.
I think Catherine and Mary worked together to complete a picture for Agnes.
Then they lost concentration.

Most farm trips also include a trip into town for either coffee, candy, or ice cream. This time it was ice cream.
Mary still won't admit it, but she's actually a good 4-wheeler driver.
Grandma and Agnes were inspecting the little pool at the bottom of the seasonal waterfall. We like to find frogs and little fish in there.
It appears we also stopped at the dollar store for something. These sunglasses did not go home with us.
