The Dad

Here are some things that the kids in my Sunday School class came up with when I asked them what they like about their dads.

Let me assure you that the head-stand comment did not come from one of our children.

The "super strong" comment did.

So what did we do for Fathers' Day Weekend? Played with the kids, of course. An evening at the beach, lots of time running around outside, some puzzles, some singing, some reading. And the girls made cards shaped like bow ties, obviously.

Since I'm usually with baby Michael, Daddy is the elected swimming partner at the beach. The girls love it. LOVE it. Catherine has a life-vest-type-suit and she just grabs his arms and bobs around in it and couldn't be happier.

Mary loves help with her puzzles (even though she doesn't need it at all).

And the boy is happy as long as someone is chilling out with him.

If you ask Catherine what Fathers' Day is, she'll probably tell you, "It's a special day for Daddy because we love him." She's pretty smart.
